Gideon Isaac Ikindu graduated from Nairobi University (Lower kabete campus) in 2002 with Upper Diplomas in sound Engineering and Business Management. Graduated from Computer pride certified university of computer studies, with upper diploma’s in computer hardware and software maintenance and networking. Gideon immediately launched himself into the music industry as a sound engineer with Soul Child Records, and later Next Level Studios.
His passion for music led him to pursue studies in PR & Marketing, Logistics and Operations. He then moved to the United Nations Sing For Life Africa Project, and successfully produced and managed the project for two years.
At the forefront of the new wave of music Gideon was hired by Metro TV to head the youth programming. For the next four years Gideon handled all elements of the programming, managing, producing and hosting. Metro TV youth show, Spiritual Voyage, touched on the lives of the young gospel industry, its trials and trends, and the lives of the views. It grew to have a loyal national following, and was a driving force in the world of Christian music.
Being an integral part of the entertainment industry Gideon chose to move into the events side of the industry. He studied and expanded his knowledge of the business side of the industry working in concept development, logistics, event management, and, artist management and development.
Gideon then moved to Oxygen Media for two years where he headed events and logistics. He then left Oxygen Media to join the Link Group heading up company operations and event logistics, and later moved to Resolution Health working with sales teams infusing technical approaches to sales and marketing.
Having an IT background in 2009 he was contracted to spearhead the inception of Moke Africa An ICT company based on wireless protocol’s ISP/ASP fiber to air. Successfully launching a company and a new platform to the Kenyan market. Gideon in known to set trends in his fields and a ground breaker in various business concepts and creative strategies.
Having attained strategic planning skills and foresight in business, in 2011 he joined Athiriver mining consulting for Rhino Special Products overhauling the internal working systems, company structures, protocols and policies, establishing the brand marketing department and developing brand visibility and brand penetration campaigns. integrating the social networks and optimizing for online shopping.
In 2013 he established a brand in partnership with others, Success Strategies Kenya a business development and project development and management company. consulting in IT, events, business strategies PR Digital and social media marketing and tool development for online media campaigns and strategies. These amongst other portfolios here in Kenya.
In June of 2016 he Joined the Capital FM family as an Account Director for Events. Here he grew to become a trend setter in concept development for clients and company alike. As a creative he has intricately been involved in development and successful engagement of digital media portfolios as well as social media campaigns. He continues to develop concepts and implement successful campaigns for Capital FM and its client portfolio.
Gideon is currently the Senior Strategy Manager for True Blaq Kenya An experiential Marketing company where he continues to set apart in his career and capabilities by creating industry changing concepts that have been implemented and are setting Experiential and Digital marketing for the company apart from the rest as acceptable go to market strategies
On a personal level Gideon continues his passion for music, computer technology, hiking and the outdoors, and has a special commitment to the growth of the youth and music industry both locally and internationally.
